Unseasonable cool for Easter in the Desert

Usually when Easter rolls around, it is hot enough that we worry about the chocolate in the Easter eggs melting and spoiling between the time when the Grandparents and Aunties hide the eggs and (moments later) when the kids find them. This year, in a turn of blessed unseasonable cool, the weather was lovely and spring like (not more than 70 degrees) for the whole weekend. Here are some pix from the hunt.

This is M as she's watching the grown ups do their hiding. She was the only one allowed to watch and she was so excited to see the brightly colored things that were being hidden.

This is the whole gang of desert-dwelling Fears cousins, during the entire 10 seconds between when the egg hunt was over, vital egg redistributions were made (yes we are a socialist family) and the sugar consumption began (or at least the whining about the sugar consumption)
>
This is the point in the afternoon when M realized that the eggs were more than pretty things she could carry around in a basket (over her shoulder like a purse, because EVERYTHING that can be put over her shoulder immediately becomes a purse), there was CANDY in there. Let the squealing and the sugar laced drool begin!
